Wood has been ordered and delivered and work is underway with Freddie Main of Oak and Black, who is both a brilliant woodworker and a rugby coach. The wood base of the Raeburn Shield is being built now. The next stage will be the metalwork, which is a significant cost, so every order helps move us toward completing the full Shield.
The rest of the slab is with me, Dave Algie. I have been working the wood myself, sanding each piece smooth, treating it with Danish oil and placing it into a presentation case. All the tokens are complete and ready. This means that if you order now you can expect delivery in under a week.
